Introductions and Skin Care basics

Well to start off with I would like to Welcome you to my blog. So well... WELCOME.  Secondly I want to tell you why I personally wanted to write one.  Everyday I come across clients who are so lost when it comes to skincare and makeup. From teenagers to seniors and everyone in between.  I can't tell you how many clients that come in who do nothing but run a hot washcloth across their face and call it their skin care routine. Or the client who tells me she has 15 year old makeup she still uses... WHAT?!?!?!? Are you kidding me people? Seriously!??!? LOL. Well I am here to educate and Inform you and hopefully be able to answer all of your questions you might have for me.  I am a Licensed Esthetician, Makeup Artist, and Eyelash Extension Tech so any questions you may have concerning skincare, makeup, hair removal, eyelash extensions, chemical peels, microdermabrasion.. (see where I am going with this..) I  am your go to Girl. K? Ok.  Now that we have that out of the way, I do want this my first blog to be informative and not just an introduction. I want to know what your skincare routine is! And if you DON'T have one I am going to give you one right now.

Cleanse, Tone, and Protect.

Now that wasn't hard was it?
Let me tell you why you need to be doing this

Cleansing: Well this is simple enough, Dirt be gone! Choose a cleanser according to your skin type.

Toning: Ok, why should we tone? Well because this brings your skin back to its natural ph level and helps close your pores before before protecting it with a moisturizer. If you have oily skin you should use an astringent as this contains alcohol to help reduce any excess oil.

Protect: Any facial Moisturizer with an SPF of atleast 15 should do. The reasons for this should be clear ladies and gentlemen. We have to protect our skin from the damaging effects of the sun. This is our number one cause of wrinkling and aging. And for all you tanning bed mamacitas out there tsk tsk!  Stop for goodness sake, you might not see it now, but you will!

Ok so now if anyone asks you what your skincare routine you know what to say. Cleanse. Tone. Protect.
Your skin will love you for it!
